UNESCO world heritage site Maison de la Culture de Firminy
La Maison de La Culture de Firminy, the House of Culture and Youth, is now used as a cultural centre. This striking building was completed in 1965 and designed by Le Corbusier. La Maison de la Culture is the only building designed by Corbusier that was built in Firminy while Le Corbusier was still alive. It is a vibrant place where shows and artistic exhibitions are organised frequently; it is definitely worth a visit. This masterpiece has been given UNESCO world heritage status and has been added to the UNESCO world heritage list.
