1. Cala Racó del Conill

This cove is located in Villajoyosa and although it has a nudist tradition, everyone is welcome. It is a small cove split in two by beautiful rocks from which you can jump into the crystal clear water. Surrounded by the mountains, this is a place of great beauty.

Tip: If you come to this bay, also visit Villajoyosa. The picturesque colourful houses are worth taking a picture of, you will love them!

2. Cala Ambolo

You should not miss this beautiful cove during your beach holiday in Costa Blanca. It is located in Jávea, in the north of the province, but you can get there easily by car. Access to the cove itself is a bit more complex it is worth it! It is an ideal place for snorkelling or jumping off the top into the clear turquoise water.

3. Beaches and coves of Tabarca

A visit to this charming island is a must during your beach holiday. It is located a few kilometres from Santa Pola and can be reached by boat from either Santa Pola or Alicante. On this island, you will find several hidden coves where you can enjoy a day of relaxation and nature in its purest form.

Tip: Don't forget your diving mask when you visit Tabarca. In this protected natural paradise, you can spot a great diversity of marine animals. You can even find starfish and sea urchins!

4. Cala Moraig

This cove has become very popular in recent years and this is not a surprise! The cove in Benitatxell is truly a gem! Not only does it have crystal clear water that you can enjoy all day, but also the rock formations will surprise you. We recommend you to go to the Cova dels Arcs and admire the beautiful view.

5. Cala Lanuza

6. Cala la Granadella

One of the best known and most visited caves in the province is Cala la Granadella, located near Jávea. This beach is always nominated as the best beach in Alicante because of its beautiful landscape and turquoise water full of fish of all kinds and colours. A true paradise with a marine reserve and natural park. This is, without doubt, a place that you should visit during your beach holiday in Costa Blanca!

7. Playa del Albir

This is a quiet pebble beach where you can fully enjoy yourself. In the immediate surroundings, you will find many restaurants offering delicious seafood and fish dishes. Don't forget to hire a kayak for a mini excursion or go paddle surfing, as the calm waters provide perfect conditions for this sport.

8. Playa de San Juan

This is a large beach that can be enjoyed all year round. It runs from the Cabo de las Huertas sector to El Campello and has extensive facilities and restaurants. It is easy to reach thanks to the tram that has several stops along the beach. Even in winter, this is the ideal location for a pleasant walk during your beach holiday.

9. Playa de Carabassí

Carabassí beach has no promenade. This gives it the feel of an unspoilt beach, where you can imagine yourself in the middle of nature. It is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in Alicante. Its proximity to Santa Pola makes it a popular spot in the summer. You will surely have a good time there with friends or as a couple.

10. Playas de Arenales en Urbanova

These beaches are a short distance from each other and very similar. They are located in the south of the province and are known for their golden sand, beautiful dunes and iconic footpaths leading to the beach.

Tip: If you pass by these beaches, you will find the popular Santa Pola lighthouse and its viewpoint nearby, this is one of the most beautiful in Alicante.

3. Hiking trails

The Costa Blanca is not only popular for its beaches, you will also find many interesting walking routes for all kinds of hikers. If you like hiking, we recommend you go to the Barranc de l'Infern and the Sierra de Bernia

- De Barranc de L'Infern. El Barranc del Infierno is also considered the cathedral of hiking in the province. With approximately 14 kilometres and 800 metres of unevenness, it is a route that is not for everyone. This route is particularly suitable for experienced (mountain) hikers.
- Serra de Bernia. This is another mountain route and perhaps one of the most beautiful and complete in Alicante. You will discover thousands of contrasts during this walk: from the shady north side to the luminous south side. You will pass through the magical Forat and visit the ruins of the Fort of Bernia.

4. Charming places

If you want to explore Alicante, don't miss the legendary Santa Cruz district in the city centre. It is known for its small streets full of flowers and colours, but also for its many bars and restaurants where you can enjoy typical local dishes. From there, you can climb up to the legendary Castle of Santa Bárbara, the city's icon, from where you can enjoy an extraordinary view. We assure you that this climb will be worth it!

5. Shopping

We already mentioned that Alicante has more than 300 days of sunshine per year. What better to do than shopping if it’s a cloudy or rainy day during your holiday? Apart from the typical shopping centres and streets, the province also has several shops where you can buy products from famous brands for an attractive price.

You can visit the Outlet in San Vicente, with big brands such as Nike, Puma, Levis and Bimba&Lola. But also the Business Park of Elche has an area with shops mainly for shoes of well-known brands such as Pikolinos, Yokono, Mustang or companies of the Inditex group.
