Cycling along the Vías Verdes
The Vías Verdes (green roads) are routes of former railway lines running right across Spain. There are already more than 90 Vías Verdes with a total of about 1,900 kilometres of hiking and cycling trails to the most hidden places in the interior. Motorised traffic is not allowed on the Vías Verdes. There are four Vías Verdes in Alicante province: Alcoy-Agost, Agost-Puerto del Maigmó, Vía Verde de las Salinas and Xixarra with lengths ranging from 7 to 20 kilometres. It is a special way to explore this beautiful area with impressive mountains and valleys, bridges, viaducts and tunnels with many of them more than a hundred years old!

Spanish bodegas visits
The Costa Blanca produces a variety of wines. Mostly the sweet dessert wine derived from the Muscatel grape, but nowadays red and rosé wines also come from here.
