Discover the historical character of the West Friesland region
The brand-new Dormio Resort Medemblik is only a 10-minute bike ride from Lake IJssel in the province of North Holland. Medemblik is the smallest and oldest city in the region of West Friesland. Formerly an important port city thanks to its strategic location on the water, today it is known worldwide as the epicenter of water sports. Together with the cities of Hoorn and Enkhuizen, Medemblik forms the historic Golden Triangle.
Just outside the city you will find Dormio Resort Medemblik in picturesque Opperdoes. You may know this village for its Opperdoezer Ronde; a type of potato grown exclusively around Opperdoes. In short, in this versatile region you can endlessly enjoy great adventures on the water and get to know the rich history!

Most of the resort's holiday homes are right by the water and have a generous patio and a jetty. Sail in a sloop or canoe straight through the relaxing landscape to the vibrant centre of Medemblik or Lake IJssel. If you would you like to enjoy pure luxury, stay in a Wellness Home with a private sauna and outdoor hot tub.
